Puti Maach Bhaja ( Small fish fry)

Puti Mach bhaja or crispy fried small fish is a kind of comfortable and staple  meal for all the Bengali household . Which is serve with rice and plain masoor dal (red lentil).

Ingredients :

  • Puti mach – 200 gm
  • Turmeric powder – 1tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard oil for frying

Procedure :

1. Clean the fish properly.

2. Now coat the fishes with some salt & turmeric power.

3. Heat mustard oil in a pan. When oil heats up put the fish pieces in small batches.

4. Fry it till the fishes turns golden brown .

5. Serve hot with some rice and dal.
