Tandoori Paneer Tikka

Tandoori paneer tikka is a North Indian starter or snack which can be made at home very easily. Originally this is made in clay oven that means in tandoor. But at home we donot have tandoor, so we can easily grill or barbecue it and enjoy the same taste.

Ingredients :
  • Paneer – 300 gm (cut in cubes )
  • Onion, capsicum, tomato -1 each(cut in diced)
  • Thick curd – 1/2 cup
  • Besan (chickpeas flour) – 1 tbsp (roasted)
  • Ginger,garlic & green chili paste – 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri lal mirch powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
  • Tandoori masala powder – 1 tsp
  • Kasuri methi powder – 1/2 tsp( crushed)
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil


Method :
1. Take a bowl. Add the thick curd first and whisk it very well.
2. Now add the above mention spices and mix well.
3. Now add paneer cubes and veggies. Mix properly. Add 1 tbsp oil mix properly. Cover the marination. Keep it in refrigerator at least for 2 hours.
4. Take out the marinated paneer. Put it in a skewer . Like first veggies then paneer , as you can seen in pictures.
5. Now pre heat oven for 15 minutes at 200 degrees c or 400 Fahrenheit . Now arrange the paneer skewer on its rack. Brush oil or butter.
6. Now grill the paneer skewer for 15-20 minutes . In between brush oil or butter .
7. Now tandoori paneer tikka is ready to serve with coriander chutney and onion rings.
If you like sprinkle some chaat masala on top of paneer skewer .
Note :
If you don’t have oven ,you can do the entire process in grill pan or non stick tawa also. Put oil first then skewer and cook all the sides.
